About Little Song Shack

In this 45-minute lively interactive class, a child's natural music curiosity can be nurtured and essential skills built.

In Little Shack’s high-energy class, singing, dancing, and playing with instruments can help foster a love of music. Through rhymes and rhythms, instrument exploration, singing, handling microphones, and creative movement little musicians will learn to be creatively confident and pick up some great skills along the way!

Vocal Play and Singing: Students learn to vocalize sounds, match pitch and handle microphones properly. Through repetition and imaginative play, students sing a variety of simple songs and nursery rhymes, encouraging language development and pitch matching.

They will learn to find confidence in singing with a group and independently. 

Rhythms: Students learn to hear rhythms, copy them and find their own.

Creative Movement: Students use their own imaginations to express how different musical moods make them feel.

Instrument Exploration: Children experiment with simple percussion instruments like rhythm sticks, shakers, and drums to develop a sense of steady beat and rhythm patterns.

Musical Stories: The class incorporates stories that can be sung or acted out with movement, which helps develop listening skills and creativity. 

Little Shack Students will have an opportunity to perform in The Song Shack Holiday and Spring Shows!
