Tickets
Tickets are $12 a piece, students are free. For those who are having a financial struggle you can choose the $1 Option and those who want to help more can choose a higher donation amount! Thank you!
Songwriters Showcase and Contest
Sunday, October 19
Each Artist performs 1 original song [family friendly lyrics, played live- with guitar & piano. Each act is limited to 2 instruments/ performers. If you will have an accompanist, I also need their name for the printed programs.
$5 General Admission for Audience members (paid at Host Stand upon arrival)
Audience members vote for their top 4 after all 20 artists have performed.
(The bigger your fan club, the more votes you'll receive! Send personal invites to your family, friends & fans.)
The 5 artists with the most votes are awarded cash prizes:
1st Place- $150
2nd Place- $100
3rd Place- $75
4th Place- $50
5th place- $25
1st place winners are invited to sit on the Industry Professionals Panel for the following Showcase & perform 2-3 songs while votes are tallied.
The Industry Professionals Panel, IPP, is composed of people who work in the Industry around Memphis. The panel completes an 'Artist Critique Sheet' for each performer that the artists can take with them at the end.
Networking is very encouraged for as much as it is a competition, it is more also a celebration of original Memphis music.
Call time is 5:45pm the night of, if able. If you need a later slot due to work schedule or similar, just let me know. Showtime is 6-9pm.
Reservations highly recommended if you want a seat at a table- usually not many available the night of. (Call or make them online.)

The Factor is a vocal contest where you are competing with vocalists , and the judges are deciding who has "The Factor". Do you?

The first round is a 60 second video submission where judges will give you feedback LIVE. Judges will use the contestants number not name and feedback will be live streamed.
The top 20 will perform LIVE at The Buckman Theater on January 25th. Please click below for more info

Wear comfortable shoes or character shoes and bring your water!
Students will go over Stage Directions, Character Movements and Intentions and Visible movements, such as gestures, entrances, exits, crosses, sitting, and rising, draw focus (the attention of the audience).
Students will be introduced to beginner dance fundamentals-
Timing and Rhythm- Clapping stepping on beat, Stretching and mirror work
Traveling, jumping, turning, gestures, stillness
Basic dance steps
Step ball change, Jazz square, Shuffle and Pivot turns.
