The Factor Contest
Do you have a "Factor"?
The Factor is a PREMIUM vocal contest Video submissions (for the qualifying round) are due by December 15, 2025.
Please make sure you are registered. First round video submissions, is your best 60 seconds of a song that shows the best of your vocal ability.
Videos need to be sent to: thefactorcontest@gmail.com
All video submissions will be judged by four judges and their feedback will be given LIVE on January 11, 2026. Student names will not be used, only their contestant number. The judges will pick (20) finalists from each division (Juniors ages 9-14 years, Seniors 15-18 years) to perform for the Finals at “The Buckman Theater” on January 25, 2026.
The top three winners of each division of the finals will receive cash awards and trophies, and the first place winner receives a free recording session.
Regardless, even if you do not make it to the finals, it is a great opportunity to get feedback from qualified professionals during the first round video submissions. I strongly encourage all students to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
**Time passes quickly especially during Holiday months so, get your submission in early.

Wear comfortable shoes or character shoes and bring your water!
Students will go over Stage Directions, Character Movements and Intentions and Visible movements, such as gestures, entrances, exits, crosses, sitting, and rising, draw focus (the attention of the audience).
Students will be introduced to beginner dance fundamentals-
Timing and Rhythm- Clapping stepping on beat, Stretching and mirror work
Traveling, jumping, turning, gestures, stillness
Basic dance steps
Step ball change, Jazz square, Shuffle and Pivot turns.
